Our lovely 200-year old watermill, set in the charming Somerset village of Nunney, is the ideal centre for a West Country break – close to Bath, Frome, Longleat, Stourhead, The Newt in Somerset, Hauser & Wirth and Babington House. We offer you our hospitality, the freedom of our beautiful house – and the chance to enjoy Rosie’s famous breakfasts! We are very well placed if you are touring the West Country or would like to break your journey down to Cornwall. Our Family Suite is equipped with toys, games and enough Lego to keep the family happy – but it also works well for friends re-uniting, wedding guests and family over-flows
Stay at Penny’s Mill welcomes visitors from all over the world. In particular, European travellers have discovered us, to our delight – over the past year they have come from France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Norway and Switzerland to name a few. You never know who you’ll bump into at breakfast in the conservatory!

Moggy Alert!
We have two boisterous teenage cats! Bolly and Roger, born June 2021, are both ginger boys and very friendly. They range the house during the day so please talk to us if that’s a problem for you. A clue - the cats were here first

Each of our three spacious rooms at Penny’s Mill provides comforts such as crisp white cotton bed-linen, down pillows and duvets (with man-made alternatives available), large towels, free wireless broadband & flat screen TVs. Our prices include Rosie’s famous breakfast

Polly's Room
Polly’s Room is cool and elegant, with both bath and digital power shower in the en-suite bathroom. The extra-long King-size bed is supremely comfortable. With it comes our lovely triple-aspect Drawing Room with views over the courtyard, wilderness and millpond
Green Room / Family Suite
The Green Room has a luxurious, extra-long 6-foot double bed, shower room and its own sitting-room, with lovely views over the terrace, millpond and Wilderness. Together with The Blue Room it forms part of our Family Suite for up to four guests (one double room, one twin room)
The Studio
The latest addition to Penny’s Mill - a self-contained studio bedroom in the converted stable opposite the main house, ideal as a weekend escape or a working base for the week. Just right for one or two guests, The Studio has a luxurious king-size bed, desk space and eating area
